What are the symptoms of worn anti roll bar bushes?

Clunking and rattling sounds from the wheels and suspension.
Knocking within the wheels while driving on uneven roads and surfaces.
Lack of stability while driving.
Poor handling around corners.
Additional body roll while turning.

What do anti roll bar bushes do?

Also known as a stabiliser bar or torsion bar, the anti-roll bar on your car helps to reduce body roll when cornering

Do all anti roll bar bushes need replacing when only some are worn?

It is advised that anti roll bar bushes are replaced in pairs, dependant of the type of bush they are there will either be one or two fitted to either side of the bar. Each driver will generally favour one side when driving, left or right on their usual daily drives, so if you turn left more than right then you are more likely to have worn the left hand bushes. But if you replace just the left hand bushes they will be new and it will only be a matter of time before you have to change the right hand ones as they are aged.

Are there different types of anti roll bar bushes?

Yes there are various types of anti roll bar bushes they vary in shape, material, fitting position and the amount needed per vehicle

There are two main type of materials they are made from which are rubber and polyurethane (Poly/plastic).

What are better rubber or poly bushes?

The answer comes down to the vehicle owner, the conventional rubber bush will offer a more comfortable ride, where as the poly bush will make the ride stiffer but because of the harder material wont wear as quickly.
